The Provisional Government of Israel is the Government of Israel which was established by the establishment of the State on May 14, 1948, and until March 10, 1949 (the 9th of Adar 5709), the date on which the first government was established, Elections for the First Knesset. Its members were members of the People's Administration, established by a resolution of the Zionist General Council of April 12, headed by David Ben-Gurion, the head of the People's Administration.
