חיים ומאניה ביאליק ירדו מן האונייה בנמל אלכסנדריה שבמצרים והמשיכו את דרכם ברכבת . בבוקר 26 במרס 1924 הגיעו לתחנת לוד , צומת מסילות הברזל של ארץ ישראל , ושם נאסף לכבודם קהל רב . ביאליק אמנם ביקש שלא יערכו לו קבלות פנים המוניות , אבל היישוב המקומי לא היה מוכן לוותר על ציונו של המאורע הגדול - בואו של המשורר הלאומי להשתקע בארץ ישראל - שהבשורה עליו נפוצה בידיעות מוקדמות בעיתונות היומית . על קבלת הפנים בתחנה ניצח מאיר דיזנגוף , ראש המועצה המקומית של תל אביב , לשעבר מראשי העסקנים הציונים באודסה , שביאליק הכירו היטב מאז שיתפו פעולה בייסודה של הוצאת ' מוריה ' בשנת . 1901 דיזנגוף הסיע את ביאליק ואת אשתו לתל אביב , אל קבלת פנים נוספת שציפתה להם בביתו של מרדכי בן הלל הכהן , ולאחר מכן נכנסו לדירתם השכורה ברחוב הס , 4 סמוך לפינת רחוב אלנבי

Haim and Mania Bialik got off the ship at the port of Alexandria in Egypt and continued their journey by train. On the morning of March 26, 1924, they arrived at the Lod station, the railroad junction of the Land of Israel, and there a large crowd gathered in their honor. Although Bialik asked that no mass receptions be held for him, the local community was not ready to give up the mark of the great event - the arrival of the national poet to settle in the Land of Israel - the news of which was widespread in early news in the daily press. The reception at the station was presided over by Meir Dizengoff, the head of the local council of Tel Aviv, a former leader of the Zionist businessmen in Odessa, whom Bialik knew well since they cooperated in the founding of the Moriah publishing house in 2011. 1901 Dizengoff drove Bialik and his wife to Tel Aviv, to another reception that awaited them at the home of Mordechai ben Hillel HaCohen, after which they entered their rented apartment at 4 Hass Street, near the corner of Allenby Street
