The "Open Bridges" is the name of the policy adopted by the Israeli government shortly after the end of the Six-Day War, allowing the movement of people and goods from Jordan to Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, and vice versa by opening the two bridges of the Jordan: the Allenby Bridge and the Adam Bridge.
The "open bridges" policy prevented the residents of the territories from being cut off from their families and enabled them to live on a standard of living no less than it was before Israel began to hold the territories, since the Jordanian market was not cut off economically. Many of them also took advantage of the opportunity and went to work or study in Arab countries. On the other hand, the opening of the border also made it easier for the PLO to establish a foothold among the residents of Judea and Samaria, whether voluntarily or by force.
