In 1936, the Institute of Judaic Sciences moved into the new building of the Main Judaic Library, erected in 1928–1936 according to the design by Edward Eber at ul. Tłomackie 3/5 [2]. The following departments existed within the Institute:

The Hellenistic Period and the Midrash (E. Stein)
Homiletics (Markus Braude)
In the first year of the Institute's operation, it had 13 regular and 10 free students. During the Institute's operation, over 100 people graduated. Scientific papers prepared at the Institute were published in ten volumes entitled Writings of the Institute of Judaic Sciences. In addition to his scientific achievements, the Institute also contributed to the education of a large team of teachers.
