Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna (referred to as R. Haskel, 18 February 1890 - 18 August 1969) was the head of the Yeshivah of Chevron Israel and a member of the Council of Torah Sages, and was responsible for the move from Slobodka to Hebron (1925) and later after the 1929 riots to Jerusalem (1929). Many of his students served as heads of yeshivas, rabbis and dayanim in the world.
Rabbi Sarna was one of the leaders of the Haredi community during the years of the establishment of the State of Israel, one of the heads of the Council of Yeshivas in Eretz Israel and the Independent Education. He was a member of the Council of Torah Sages, participated in the fourth and fifth great churches, and was active in the public and political moves of Agudath Israel's Knesset members.
