Brit Shalom – movement established in 1925 by a group of Jewish intellectuals, aiming at achieving co-existence between Jews and Arabs, through yielding the right to establish a national home for Jews in Eretz Israel, as stated in the Balfour Declaration. Amongst the members and supporters were Arthur Ruppin, Martin Buber, Shmuel Hugo Bergman, Gershom Shalom, Ernst Simon, Henreitta Szold, Yehudah Leib Magnes and others.
