Lifta (Arabic: لفتا) is an abandoned village in the western entrances of Jerusalem, located within the Me-Naftuh Nature Reserve (Lifta)
In the events of 1929, the villagers took an active part in the robberies and the attack on the nearby Jewish neighborhoods. In November 1934, a land dealer resident of the village was murdered by a local organization of nationalist Arabs who opposed the sale of Lifta land to the Jews. The head of the village, Mahmoud Issa, also received threats of murder on a similar basis. Even in the events of 1939-1936, the villagers participated in attacks against the Jewish neighborhoods and transportation on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv road.
