The Agreement on Disengagement is an agreement signed between Israel and Egypt on January 18, 1974, ending the Yom Kippur War and the subsequent period of attrition on the Egyptian front.
In the 101st kilometer, a number of tents were set up in which discussions were held between the Israeli delegation headed by Major General (res.) Aharon Yariv and the Egyptian delegation headed by Egyptian Army Chief of Staff Muhammad 'Abd al-Ghani al-Gamasi.
On January 18, 1974, the parties succeeded in reaching an agreement, and the two chiefs of staff, Lt. Gen. David Elazar and General Gamasi, signed the separation of forces agreement between Israel and Egypt at the 101st meeting tent.
